Book Review of A Fine, Fine School

A Fine, Fine School

Creech, S. (2004). A Fine, Fine School. New York: Joanna Cotler Books.

A Fine, Fine School is the story of a wonderful school with wonderful teachers and students. The principal of the school loves his school so much he wants everyone to be their everyday, including weekends and holidays! While Tillie loves her school, she misses the fun she has playing and skipping with her little brother and her pup. She talks to her principal and explains that you don't only learn at school and the principal realizes that their is great value in taking time out to have fun.

This is a really fun and silly picture book. You will notice Tillie's pup being very silly on every page he is featured on. I also enjoyed sweet relationship between Tillie and her little brother, showing how much younger siblings learn from their older brothers and sisters. I recommend this book for ages 4-6.
