It’s so Amazing
Harris, R. (1999). It’s so Amazing! Boston, MA: Candlewick Press.
It's So Amazing! is a nonfiction, informative book on the subject of how babies are made and understanding your own body. It is broken up into 22 chapters with topics including the biology behind reproduction, how boys and girls bodies are different, the mechanic of inseminating an egg and gestation. The Bird and the Bee help narrate this book and move the narrative along.
This book is extremely informative and written for its younger audience to grasp. I love how matter of fact it is while also infusing humor and levity. I hate to admit that some parts did make me blush a bit, but the information shared in this book is essential for all preteens to know. I would recommend this book for ages 7 and up.
